In addition to other types of law (family law, criminal defense and commercial litigation), Mr. Phillips’s office handles personal injury, civil rights and wrongful death cases. His office solely represents plaintiffs who have been injured by automobile wrecks, product defects, because of premises liability and other forms of wrongful conduct or negligence / accidents.
John has many million dollar verdicts and settlements in cases ranging from soft tissue injuries to brain damage cases. He represented the family of Jordan Davis during their trials and tribulations after the 17 year-old was shot and killed by Michael Dunn, represented over 100 child victims of pediatric dental abuse at the hands of Howard S. Schneider, DDS, and achieved what was called a “landmark victory” in a school bulling case which initially caused a bully to be banned from the school system. He also tried an injury case, resulting in a $2.6 million verdict, while Good Morning America’s cameras rolled.
Mr. Phillips is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell, is board certified by The Florida Bar in Civil Trial Law and has a host of awards and accolades in the practice of law.
