People often ask me about my “secret” to some of the success we have had over the past few years. It’s easy to explain, but difficult for some to pull off.

(1) Be humble. We are all in this together.

(2) Find common ground. We all have something that makes us tick, a favorite charity or love for our children. Value those giving you time more than your own (see #1).

(3) Work hard. The world owes you nothing. It doesn’t have to be nice and there are people who will put in the time and effort to be better than you.
